Re: Cross-Platform DLC Transfers for The Sims 4

Hey guys, my suggestion would be, to work on making the many many many add ons to this game transferable between systems. It’s not consumer friendly that we have to spend hundreds of dollars multiple times. In my case, I usually plays sims on my laptop, it’s my preferred way to play, however my laptop is broken currently. So I’ve had to move to playing on Xbox for now. Unfortunately that means I’m playing a very naked game now because all the expansions, kits, etc that I bought already for my PC version are collecting dust, because I can’t use them. And to play them on Xbox I’d have to buy them all again. at this point it would be cheaper to fix my laptop rather than buy everything again on Xbox. And I currently don’t have the money for either option.

I think many people would appreciate this ability. And in making the coding work to do this, you could focus on finding and fixing all the bugs in the latest expansions you’ve released.

ShyChan1617 this isn't within the power of EA. It's a totally different product for consoles and is formatted, manufactured and licensed for that specific platform. That's why it's not transferable even between Xbox and PlayStation, not to mention PC and console. It's not something EA is restricting, it's to do with the type of platform it's designed for and the console manufacturers themselves as we buy the Sims add-ons from them.

Yes and no. It depends on how you got the game on Xbox (in this case). I got sims 4 through EA play. Which means that EA is still in charge of managing it. Thus, if I did buy the Add ons again… I’d be paying EA hundreds again. That is the issue. There are plenty of other games out there that manage this. Roblox, Fortnite, etc. if you buy stuff for those games on your account on another platform you still have them on Xbox.  So why not this game?
