Event Rewards Suggestion

During the "Reaper's Reward Event", the magazine around week one never got delivered to my Sim's mailbox, so I missed out on the entirety of the Reaper's Rewards. This was very upsetting to me because I really adored, and still do adore, the "Grim's Cruiser" bicycle.

Look, EA. You like money, I like having content. I am suggesting that EA lists past Reward Events for money, for players that missed out on the event for one reason or another. I am thinking a proper price point for a Rewards Event could be like, $0.99, or $1.99, or something. Less than what a kit costs, obviously.

I said it already, but we know that anywhere where EA can make more income would be beneficial. You can do whatever you want with this suggestion. Archive the Reward Events the week after it finishes for purchase, 6-months after the fact, or pay-to-skip gameplay (but if you want to keep the disposition of the release timeline per week, I'm sure players will be okay with that).

Anyways, thanks. I really want it in my game but I don't want to play with mods or CC.

I would like for there to be an option to purchase, or unlock for free after 1-2 years, the rewards which were offered in these limited-time events. The main reason is that people who have not yet started playing the game are missing out on what has already happened, which is no fault of their own (maybe they don't know about The Sims yet, or they're too young to play, etc.). I can relate for myself since the Positivity Challenge event happened before I started playing, and now that's something I'll never be able to do. Anyway, it would be nice to offer an option to return to these events, or unlock what they offered, down the road for people who aren't playing right now (but will become future players).

Yes! Or make the events scenarios that are available 6 months to a year after the fact! They've been releasing such fantastic items (to say nothing of the traits and aspiration) that it is a major negative to bar access to those items for players who might be picking up or returning to the game after those events ended. Do other companies do this? Sure, but I hate it there as well and, as a completionist, it actually acts as a deterrent for me to play those games since, no matter what I do, my collection can never be complete.

So, while I would ultimately be willing to play a small amount of money to acquire those items after the events end, I think it would be a lot more effective in terms of player engagement (and, quite frankly, optics) to make the events return seasonally, or to just set them up as permanent scenarios that people can play at their leisure. EA wouldn't lose anything by shifting to a carrot from a stick (incentivizing versus prodding via FOMO), and players would ultimately be happier, even if the decision is to make people wait a year or whatever to bring each event back. Just give us a way to get the rewards after the event closes, whatever that looks like. Please and thank you!

  • Or please release for free 6 months after the fact or a year. I don't care, I just really want it and totally would be willing to spend a dollar for it.

Also, patio screen walls. I really would adore to make a screened-in patio.
