I have to agree here too. Like many here, I love the Sims 4 games. And each time I turn around, they create more and more "goodies" I would love to have in my game. So, we purchase the clutter kits to make our homes look more "realistic" or "lived in." We buy more kits and packs because, in my case, I love variety. I love that I have options to all kinds of hairstyles and clothing options to furniture and decor, so each home or business my Sims visit, they feel different and look different from one another.... just like real life. I like the clothing options to help express the Sim I wish to play which may include changing their hairstyles and clothing to fit that expression.... just like in real life, we don't go through our real lives sticking with only one outfit of clothing and wear them day after day. We switch it up. So, its wonderful to have so many options to express our Sim's different moods and personality instead of just one or two articles of clothing to do that.
Granted, when this game first began, it was designed to be played with less powerful or older PCs in mind. So, the game was designed not to be demanding on the graphics cards, and with limited storage or hard drive space and less RAM. But over time EA realized more and more players do have computers that can handle the load and started going to town creating more intricate and detailed items and more content for us to enjoy... hoping we will want to buy each DLC that comes out. After all, that is the ultimate goal is to make us want to buy these extensions for our games.
Then, when we do, EA is realizing the core function of the game is not able to handle all these packs. Soon the games are conflicting with themselves. Then tell us to start removing some of the packs we purchased that may be causing the issues or conflicts so the rest of the packs and the core game can play more smoothly and with less bugs. And now we are told that we shouldn't use too much content on our lots, as that really weighs the game down. Then... why are you continuously making more for us to buy and enjoy if we cant use them the way we desire to? Where is the creative flow in that? How much is too much then if we shouldn't clutter our Sims homes... with packs which are meant for cluttering?
I purchased all these because I believed we can use them to our heart's content and that the game is built to handle it. I can understand if some players have laptops and PC's that are not as capable of handling all this content, but what about the rest of us whos' computers can handle the load and yet our games still go buggy? How is this our responsibility again please?
