I am hoping that a modder will release a mod that gets rid of the button entirely.

@Chebadoo I appreciate modders and agree that I also want a quick fix but this shouldn't be a matter for modder. Console players can't even use mods and players who don't use them shouldn't be forced to add them to fix an issue of accessibility. This is a slap in the face to people who have already invested so much into the game but it's also completely against The Sims claims of accessibility and inclusiveness. This feature is thoughtless all around and it should be removed by the people who put it there as a matter of principle.

  Oh, I absolutely agree, but it will probably take EA a long time to fix it. It shouldn't be up to modders to fix it, but like many other bugs in this game, it probably will be, at least until EA finally gets around to fixing it.
  The flashing makes it worse, but frankly I don't want it there at all even if it doesn't flash. I want it gone completely.

SimMattically has released a mod to remove it on his Patreon (you don't need to pay anything to download it) I've already tested it and it works, if anyone is interested!

    That would be me 😭!
    But at least it's stopped flashing for now until I need to reconnect online features.
