Feedback: Shopping Cart Icon and main menu ads

I updated the game and now am facing down a constant pulsating reminder in the top right telling me to spend more money on the game.

Does this even work on anyone? Like is anyone on the team truly convinced this is actually going to sell expansions? Why can't we just enjoy the game and see the infos on the expansions on EA Desktop and the main menu? Even the placement of it feels predatory given it bumps the Gallery Button to the side.
