To the ones that uses mods.. There's a mod that's already been created to remove the shopping cart. It's by SimMattically and it's free to download.

@Mysterious1564 I just installed that mod and I can confirm that it does work.
Funny how they can update with their hands out begging with a shopping cart icon that no one asked for, but they can't seem to do what players have been asking for, which is fix the dang game. Dine Out and Wedding Stories are still broken.
