Great! Now get rid of it. No one wants this and it's distracting and annoying.
It's disappointing that the original post #1 where the user provided feedback about wanting the shopping cart button removed, posting in the Game Feedback & Ideas forum has been merged with a bug report specifically about the pulsing.
The pulsing may be a bug and is a separate issue in itself to the feedback around the button, I think merging these is detracting attention from the fact that not only do we hate the pulsing, we also hate the button.
(Maybe this point has been made but I'm not reading 25 pages to find out)
I have two problems with the shopping card thing.
First, it seems very cash-grabby, unnecessarily greedy and surprisingly predatory. There are ads everywhere, on the main menu, the horse dlc popup, the world screen and now everywhere else. This is overwhelming in f2p games BUT I PAID. I paid money for the basegame, I paid money for frankly overpriced DLCs, I now own everything I want! (Well, not everything but the missing packs are to buggy to buy, and no shopping cart can make me pay 40 Dollars for a broken product, pulsating or not).
Second, it's so, so non-inclusive. The pulsation (even if it's just when there are "amazing!! sales!! that have to interest me!!!!" - we don't know the frequency of this happening) is awful for many neurodivergent people, for everyone with migraines, for everyone with compulsive shopping habits, anxiety infused fomo etc. At the very least it should be optional. (It was the same with the barely usable console controls too, so many players experienced problems with a thing that wasn't needed.) To be honest, a company that prides itself in inclusivity should not let that happen. And if it happens, and idk, a lovely bug causes migraines and seizures, an apology would not even cost money.
I learned to live with the barely working console controls. I'm willing to pay for DLCs even if the they could be better. I waas actually excited for the Crystal pack.
But I'm not updating my gameto get a fancy ingame ad button. This is just too much o.q
I don't have all the Sims 4 games, but most of them. The decision to put a permanent shopping cart right in front of the player's nose to encourage them to buy even more intrusively has exactly the opposite effect on me. And I'm not alone in this. I buy what I want and this intrusive shopping cart in front of my nose is of no use to you at all on my end.
I am literally boycotting The Sims 4 - not purchasing ANYTHING so long as this stupid button is on the game BLINKING at me.

Yep, there were two posts originally, and the feedback about removing the button entirely got swept under the rug of this "bug" report, instead of being left where it belongs in the feedback section. But yet we were also encouraged earlier in this post to submit feedback. And when I posted a link to a petition regarding removing the button (another simmer created it), that was removed and I got a warning in my inbox. Very, very conflicting and confusing messages here.
A quick search led me right to the petition. Thanks for mentioning it, @LadyAofPineapple.
