Forum Discussion
Hey all,
Just a quick reminder of our rules and guidelines as I've had to remove some posts from this thread I would rather have left up.
The 2 that keep getting otherwise thoughtful and well written feedback removed are below:
- Don't be rude. No matter what your feelings are about other people, EA Forums aren't the place to attack another person. That includes public figures, EA employees, or other forum users.
- Don't ruin a perfectly well written and constructive post by signing off on it with attacks on EA staff, I'll have to pull your post down.
And
- Don't call for boycotts or misuse petitions. Inappropriate petitions and boycott discussions do not contribute to a useful and productive forum.
- Saying that you're personally not purchasing content any longer is fine, but encouraging others not to will get your post pulled.
Please, help me help you.
Thanks for reading, and keep the feedback coming. I'm still sharing it with the wider team.
OK....
- LadyAofPineapple2 years agoSeasoned Ace@twinkles21 I'm frustrated with it as well, but I'd rather have Cade come in and say there's been no news that can be reported on, than have no EA representation/communication in this thread at all. It isn't easy being in the middle like this, especially since the decision comes from much higher up, I assume. It's frustrating for all of us. I hope we hear something soon, though, and I hope it's in our favor.

@LadyAofPineapple100% agreed. Likewise, I'm frustrated and disappointed with this decision they've made, but as a community we do need to be mindful of who we're directing our frustration towards. As you pointed out here, this decision almost certainly came from over the devs and reps heads, and we all have to bear that in mind when providing feedback. They have to put a good, or at least neutral, face on the company's decisions. It's literally their jobs.
As far as ea's warning about toxic posts...the thing is, we absolutely do need to be able to voice our opinions on important things like this, and we should be able to vent our frustrations. But I have to agree that should never include attacking other members of the community, no matter how much we want to push for solidarity on an issue. This cart button fiasco has influenced my purchasing decisions, like it has a lot of others, but the reality is not everyone wants to die on that hill. We need to respect that even if we may not agree with it, because bashing isn't constructive and it won't change anyone's mind.Edit: @LadyAofPineapple Bottom line, if I wasn't clear since I tend to ramble, I'm applauding you adding a dose of perspective to the thread lol
