@LadyAofPineapple100% agreed. Likewise, I'm frustrated and disappointed with this decision they've made, but as a community we do need to be mindful of who we're directing our frustration towards. As you pointed out here, this decision almost certainly came from over the devs and reps heads, and we all have to bear that in mind when providing feedback. They have to put a good, or at least neutral, face on the company's decisions. It's literally their jobs.
As far as ea's warning about toxic posts...the thing is, we absolutely do need to be able to voice our opinions on important things like this, and we should be able to vent our frustrations. But I have to agree that should never include attacking other members of the community, no matter how much we want to push for solidarity on an issue. This cart button fiasco has influenced my purchasing decisions, like it has a lot of others, but the reality is not everyone wants to die on that hill. We need to respect that even if we may not agree with it, because bashing isn't constructive and it won't change anyone's mind.
Edit: @LadyAofPineapple Bottom line, if I wasn't clear since I tend to ramble, I'm applauding you adding a dose of perspective to the thread lol
