Hey, did y'all see the MASSIVE SALE on The Sims 4 DLC happening right now? Isn't it awesome?
We're here giving feedback about a about a Live-Mode Shopping Cart feature that we don't want and have legitimate health and wellness concerns over and now we have a sale that shows just how useful a Live-Mode Shopping Cart feature could be! 🤪
Coincidence or not (concerning the timing of the sale, not the button's usefulness), it's a big ole slap in the face.
I can't anymore. Also, please don't attack your fellow simmers for buying DLC. Keep in mind that not everyone views it negatively, and most importantly they might not know or understand why it's potentially harmful to other simmers if they don't have the same health and wellness concerns.
55 MINUTES LATER UPDATE:
Also, simmers who don't have the button assume the patch fixed it and fixed it for all eternity even though we have a day old comment stating it's still pulsing https://answers.ea.com/t5/Game-Feedback-Ideas/Feedback-Shopping-Cart-Icon/m-p/13547341#M1865 and bugs sometimes get resurrected. Also squared, simmers who do have the button and it's fixed for them may not understand that part of the nature of bugs is that someone else might be experiencing something different.

We're in the Malware SIMPOCALYPSE, and internet searching that will actually give you my Reddit OP, hot dayum! Prioritize FIRST-PARTY sources especially for your script mods and install and update TwistedMexi's ModGuard.

These are also really good points to keep in mind. It's all a matter of perspective and we shouldn't make assumptions about anyone's priorities. Trying to put the moral responsibility on the consumer is a tactic that in the end actually benefits the corporations, not the people, by shifting accountability. (Thankfully this hasn't been quite as bad here as I've seen elsewhere, like Reddit.)
And honestly, verbally abusing even the company itself isn't an effective way to provide feedback. It turns meaningful commentary into a tantrum, which can be easily dismissed, and targeting individuals company reps is just cyberbullying (and some of them might even be on our side behind the scenes). By all means, call them out when it matters, and keep the conversation going, but there are lines that we shouldn't cross either.
(Okay, getting off my soap-box now. Thank you for attending and drive safe lol.)
EDIT: And now to get this thread back on track...😅 I still hate the button and all the various things it does to draw attention to itself.
