55 MINUTES LATER UPDATE:
Also, simmers who don't have the button assume the patch fixed it and fixed it for all eternity even though we have a day old comment stating it's still pulsing https://answers.ea.com/t5/Game-Feedback-Ideas/Feedback-Shopping-Cart-Icon/m-p/13547341#M1865 and bugs sometimes get resurrected. Also squared, simmers who do have the button and it's fixed for them may not understand that part of the nature of bugs is that someone else might be experiencing something different.
These are also really good points to keep in mind. It's all a matter of perspective and we shouldn't make assumptions about anyone's priorities. Trying to put the moral responsibility on the consumer is a tactic that in the end actually benefits the corporations, not the people, by shifting accountability. (Thankfully this hasn't been quite as bad here as I've seen elsewhere, like Reddit.)
And honestly, verbally abusing even the company itself isn't an effective way to provide feedback. It turns meaningful commentary into a tantrum, which can be easily dismissed, and targeting individuals company reps is just cyberbullying (and some of them might even be on our side behind the scenes). By all means, call them out when it matters, and keep the conversation going, but there are lines that we shouldn't cross either.
(Okay, getting off my soap-box now. Thank you for attending and drive safe lol.)
EDIT: And now to get this thread back on track...😅 I still hate the button and all the various things it does to draw attention to itself.
