The shopping cart is the most obnoxious thing they could have put into the game with no way to turn it off. If I have to start worrying about full on ads appearing in the game next, I will drop Sims and EA games all together. They're not the first company I've stopped getting games from and more options are coming up with developers who actually care about their consumers.
If they put in-game ads into TS4, I too will drop TS4, and that will be one of the most difficult decisions I will ever have to make because I love TS4. Maybe EA needs to start dealing with management and the individuals who are floating these horrible ideas before they lose a bunch of longtime fans, especially since there are several competitors that are now making The Sims-like games now. If they don't change their approach on this, they're only gonna damage themselves. Clearly, based on community feedback from several areas such as here, The Sims Forums, Steam, and many other areas people don't want this shopping cart and advertising bothersome junk in their game. Sorry for the harshness, but it's the truth. This is just getting ridiculous. Start listening to the people and fans who support and buy your products, or lose them.
