I save my game every sim night, and when I do, the in game store puts a nag prompt bubble just below the cart icon about the new SpongeBob pack. If I don't click the cart icon to open and then close the ad, my 123 keys don't work for speed up and slow down. This also happens when entering/exiting build mode, traveling, and managing worlds. I have only seen this issue since the Nov. 4 update. I do have the Dec. 2 update installed. I don't play with mods or CC (playing on Windows 11), so this is super annoying to me that even my game is infested with bugs. I tried all the usual tricks of deleting cache files and repairing the game. The notification light doesn't come on like it does in the very start of playing, but the constant nagging to buy stuff from the store is affecting gameplay by preventing speed up and slow down from working properly.
Please stop the text from appearing every time my sim travels. Just stop it altogether, it breaks immersion and screams desperation.
