Festival improvement ideas

I love in game festivals. The seasons festivals from sims 3 was one of my favorite elements of that series.

I think future sims 4 festivals could be improved if the following elements are included

Unique activies and/or interactions.

Unique foods, perhaps with the option to learn new recipes 

Large population of sims showing up to festivals

Live music or performances

Unique souvenir opportunities 

I also think there should be a toggle or option to ignore certain festivals on the family calendar. For example, I don't have sims in high-school, it would be nice not to have the HSY festivals on my calendar.
