Fix the Button

The option to turn off Show Wants & Fears is still broken. I have to go to Game Options, Gameplay, check the box next to Show Wants & Fears, click Apply, uncheck the box next to Show Wants & fears, click Apply. It removes the one showing. It is only one, but I want none. It has been fixed before, surely someone kept the notes. Also would like an option that will allow me to opt-out of any Live or Special(?)events. Or to at least get rid of the notification bar at the top-left corner of my screen. I am just looking at how long the event is scheduled for and I won't play Sims until it is over. Decided instead to sign up for a BigFish membership and will just play their games.
