Certain Wants and Fears despite option turned off

Is this the only option you have issues with that doesn't' seem to stick ?

That I have noticed, yes.  Ive had this issue for a long looong time but its intermittent making me think its been fixed and then not.  It used to be that all 3 wants and fears kept coming back now its just one  only that doesn't go away unless I go into settings .

I've also had this issue, ever since Whims changed to Wants and Fears. It's usually a Want that regards a romantic interest e.g. Go on a Date with (Sim name here).

Hadnt played the game in a couple of months so I updated the game and been on it for a few days.  This issue is still happening.  If i remember rightly... before and now its a want that pops up and usual its a personal one like hold hands, kiss etc.  So same here..

I have been having this issue for a very long time ( maybe years) where my sim gets a fear, I "cure" it and it pops up again the next day, or at the wrong time ( like a fear of the dark when the sim time is noon). I have tried turning the wants and fears off but it wont work.
