Gnomes fried my digital frames and DEMOLISHED my photos

I was playing my legacy family and out of nowhere a bunch of angry gnomes appeared and started breaking all my electronics, including all four of my digital photo frames. When I fixed my stuff I noticed ALL my stored photos had turned black. I'm devastated, I kept photos of my Sims milestones there, last images of their deceased pets and family. It's all gone.

There was no reason for the gnomes to be there, no holiday, no occult Sims, no mods. I purposely avoid the gnomes because they're such an annoyance.

I'm on PC and playing with absolutely no mods or CC. I know my photos can't be recovered but I'm worried this is going to happen again. My Sims photos are a HUGE part of my gameplay, I feel like half my save was just deleted.

Are you able to roll back a save? You can make a copy of the photos.

I might have a copy of the house saved in my library, I'll have to check, moving forward I'm going to save all my pictures in a room on there before I put them in the frames. I just wish the gnomes would stop touching my pictures.

Think you might have a mixture of things. AFAIK, they are supposed to show black while the frame is broken but with the current black photo issues going on, it could just be that.

Would you be willing to share your save with me ?

If so, please zip your saves folder and upload it somewhere like dropbox, googledrive or OneDrive and PM me the link.

    Hey there SimmerDownRobin

This thread has been moved to the feedback section of the forums as this is currently by design.

When you place a photo into a digital photo frame, the picture becomes part of the frame's inventory. If the frame is then broken and repaired, the photos in the frame's inventory are converted into scavenge parts.

To prevent your photos being lost, you can make copies of them before placing them into the digital photo frames.
