A pack (along with Dining Out & Outdoor Retreat) that Simmers have been asking for a refresh since the concept of Refreshes was introduced. Personally I'd add Baking to the Base Game and place recipes where they make the most sense. Works well with the recent Cooking Stuff PackGives Sims who are earning a living Farming or Fishing a place to sell their goodsAnother Ownable Community Lot will make Simmers happyA chance to reintroduce the retail radio station from Sims 1 or 2 (I can't remember)The Base Game & EP Updates of meats, a few ingredients and harvestables will be benefit all Simmers, and the Devs themselves when creating new recipes for all food and beverage categories.Opens things up for Juicing with the last few main fruits introduced. I love the idea of a real grocery store that can either be owned or unowned. I much prefer that to rabbit holes and delivery in most cases. Though both of those have their own places as well. All food products, from all packs should be opened up if you own the pack, as there are so many now. I already sell harvestatables in a get to work store that includes a bakery section, food in the get to work cases and fridges, including cooked meals. but I have wanted a much more detailed grocery store for a long time, with corn harvestable, orange harvestables, and wheat harvestables, and sugar cane harvestable. Vegetable bins for all vegetables including the ones from all the different packs. We also need more shelves made to put food on like the sugar, and flour, and canned goods in HOB, the herbal tinctures in outdoor retreat, honey made from bee’s in seasons, etc. I like the idea presented of a pantry, and why can’t we already use our cupboards to store dry and canned ingredients? It would make cupboards functional.I love the idea of a butter churn, and if we could have little home mills to mill our own wheat into flour, corn into cornmeal, and sugar cane into sugar that would be a great add on for those sims who have gardens. I love the idea of a juicer as well. Also eating vegetables, fruits, and fruit juices, and vegetarian foods ( except junk food ), shoukd give out a feeling healthy moodlet, not an extremely over powering one, but one similar to wearing clean clothes from the laundry pack.However they do it. It needs to be made functional that a person can either buy grocery products to sell in a grocery store or use their own made and harvested products, and a mix of the two, from a seller stand point. But I would also love to be able to build a store that does not have an actual owner, but I can place all types of groceries for sell in it. And in such a store harvestables and all other food goods should sell for a normal price. I want to be able to use the simple living trait on several of my families, even those without gardens, but, produce needs to be reasonably priced.also you might want to add pork as well to the meat soup/stew recipes.Also, why don’t they add pinto beans or some other varieties of beans to make a pot of beans on the stove? They could be a harvestable, and a dried product, both. I make a simple vegetarian pot of beans using a variety of dried beans and lentils ( but pinto beans or many other types could be substituted ), fresh onions, fresh garlic, fresh cilantro, water and a little salt. Beans are quite a stock item in both the southwestern United States and Hispanic countries.oh, and even though I have Chef hustle and the pizza maker, I would love to still see a brick pizza oven. Maybe in a kit?

I really do need grocery stores implemented in TS4 somehow so YES! I would love something like this! A stuff pack inspired by Sims 3 Store sets like the Gardening station, farm/tractor premium object and the one with new harvestables would be perfect! I love gardening in The Sims 4. Would also be the perfect opportunity to bring hay/grains and rye as new harvestables so we could basically grow the ingredients for flour, we have flour with Cottage Living but would be nice if we could get more out of them… <3Not to mention how awesome it is to play Sims 4 as a farming simulator like Hay Day or Farmville or Stardew Valley games! :love:

Yes, many people are interested in this type of pack. I want sims to be able to craft their own cooking ingredients via milling, preserving, etc. I'd also like to be able to operate and visit a grocery store venue. I mean, you can order groceries (limited) and buy from a kisok, but why not have a real grocery store?Also, the bread making and cheese making features in the game were just thrown together. They need to have a brick oven for making bread and pizza and lots of recipes for various breads and pastries: danishes, dinner rolls, sourdough, cinnamon rolls, baquettes, etc. Cheesemaking should be intensive like nectar making: separating the curds, crafting the cheese wheel, aging the cheese, and creating various flavors like swiss, cheddar, provolone, etc. I'd also like to see curing and smoking meats, more appliances such as crepe maker, deep fryer, juicer, chocolate maker, etc.And I'd also like to see an actual barista career, coffee beans harvestable, and ability to craft coffee grounds and blends. Same for tea making. Tea leaves, tea curing and drying, crafting tea blends, and making various beverages.

Peppermint plant would be nice too.

this idea also would go great with a Dine Out pack refresh ;) i really want an active chef career (that is not a mod and needs to be constantly updated after patches) and making cooking more detailed would go great with this career, I think. like having to buy all the ingredients needed in bulk and have it in stock at your restaurant to fulfill all the orders on ur menu (or something like that to make it more challenging) and i LOVE getting new recipes from cuisine of differing cultures. It adds more variety and realism! i rely on custom recipes to make most of my restaurant menus in the game right now.

I have done most of the recipe research work for you
Would be a closer and more realistic representation of international recipes than currently
Giving the Recipes in Baking a small refresh will please Simmers greatly & make Baking even more attractive for Get to Work. A pack (along with Dining Out & Outdoor Retreat) that Simmers have been asking for a refresh since the concept of Refreshes was introduced. Personally I'd add Baking to the Base Game and place recipes where they make the most sense.
Works well with the recent Cooking Stuff Pack
Gives Sims who are earning a living Farming or Fishing a place to sell their goods
Another Ownable Community Lot will make Simmers happy
A chance to reintroduce the retail radio station from Sims 1 or 2 (I can't remember)
The Base Game & EP Updates of meats, a few ingredients and harvestables will be benefit all Simmers, and the Devs themselves when creating new recipes for all food and beverage categories.
Opens things up for Juicing with the last few main fruits introduced. Gives a few more possibilities for Nectar making
It would be amazing to see Sims 2 level details like NPC butchers handing paper wrapped meat packages to put into a hand basket or Sims leaving the store after paying with Grocery Bags, Personalized and Reusable Please.
It would be fun to watch Sims smell Cantaloupe and tap on Watermelon and other such produce inspection techniques
Purchasable butter could segue nicely to adding Butter Churns and Compound Butter Recipes
Varieties of cheeses could be a nice purchase in the various "vacation areas" like Cheddar in Hensford, Queso Fresco in Jungle Living. You could introduce other kinds of cheeses in new neighborhoods similar to their real world counterpart like Brie from France.

I really do need grocery stores implemented in TS4 somehow so YES! I would love something like this! A stuff pack inspired by Sims 3 Store sets like the Gardening station, farm/tractor premium object and the one with new harvestables would be perfect! I love gardening in The Sims 4. Would also be the perfect opportunity to bring hay/grains and rye as new harvestables so we could basically grow the ingredients for flour, we have flour with Cottage Living but would be nice if we could get more out of them… <3

Not to mention how awesome it is to play Sims 4 as a farming simulator like Hay Day or Farmville or Stardew Valley games! :love:

this idea also would go great with a Dine Out pack refresh ;) i really want an active chef career (that is not a mod and needs to be constantly updated after patches) and making cooking more detailed would go great with this career, I think. like having to buy all the ingredients needed in bulk and have it in stock at your restaurant to fulfill all the orders on ur menu (or something like that to make it more challenging) and i LOVE getting new recipes from cuisine of differing cultures. It adds more variety and realism! i rely on custom recipes to make most of my restaurant menus in the game right now.

For nectars maybe they could add also plum nectar and ginger ale to the list. Also, would be nice to have some more non-nectary fruit cocktail type drinks for mixology skill. They need to be colourful and in pretty glasses.

If I had my wish i.e. if I was calling the shots
They would first refresh GTW and make Baking a Base Game Skill and add Perfume Making as its skill replacement for the pack.
Next add Bakery & Perfume Shop Community Lot designations in the refresh with a few new associated Shop Items
Front Door with Appropriate Decals
Showcase Displays for a high end Perfume Shop
Commercial Oven for the Bakery
Appropriate Signage
As a part of the Refresh if you have GTW & Seasons a Florist Shop Community Lot designation and a couple of associated Display Shelves & Refrigerated Case, Front Door and Signage Unlocks
If you have GTW & Crystal Creations a Jewelry Store Designation would Unlock with any needed items
Then Update all recipes (Cooking, Baking, Gourmet, not the Dine Out ones) into the now Base Game Categories in a more logical way.
Next Implement the recipe changes that I outlined above with current Harvestables & Buyables
Then make this pack and then further Update the recipes with the new Harvestables & Buyables as outlined

My thinking is that when you try to create a concept for the Sims you should try benefit the widest margins of the players. This is what I'm trying to do here.

I love the idea of a real grocery store that can either be owned or unowned. I much prefer that to rabbit holes and delivery in most cases. Though both of those have their own places as well. All food products, from all packs should be opened up if you own the pack, as there are so many now.
I already sell harvestatables in a get to work store that includes a bakery section, food in the get to work cases and fridges, including cooked meals. but I have wanted a much more detailed grocery store for a long time, with corn harvestable, orange harvestables, and wheat harvestables, and sugar cane harvestable. Vegetable bins for all vegetables including the ones from all the different packs. We also need more shelves made to put food on like the sugar, and flour, and canned goods in HOB, the herbal tinctures in outdoor retreat, honey made from bee’s in seasons, etc. I like the idea presented of a pantry, and why can’t we already use our cupboards to store dry and canned ingredients? It would make cupboards functional.
I love the idea of a butter churn, and if we could have little home mills to mill our own wheat into flour, corn into cornmeal, and sugar cane into sugar that would be a great add on for those sims who have gardens. I love the idea of a juicer as well. Also eating vegetables, fruits, and fruit juices, and vegetarian foods ( except junk food ), shoukd give out a feeling healthy moodlet, not an extremely over powering one, but one similar to wearing clean clothes from the laundry pack.
However they do it. It needs to be made functional that a person can either buy grocery products to sell in a grocery store or use their own made and harvested products, and a mix of the two, from a seller stand point. But I would also love to be able to build a store that does not have an actual owner, but I can place all types of groceries for sell in it. And in such a store harvestables and all other food goods should sell for a normal price. I want to be able to use the simple living trait on several of my families, even those without gardens, but, produce needs to be reasonably priced.
also you might want to add pork as well to the meat soup/stew recipes.
Also, why don’t they add pinto beans or some other varieties of beans to make a pot of beans on the stove? They could be a harvestable, and a dried product, both. I make a simple vegetarian pot of beans using a variety of dried beans and lentils ( but pinto beans or many other types could be substituted ), fresh onions, fresh garlic, fresh cilantro, water and a little salt. Beans are quite a stock item in both the southwestern United States and Hispanic countries.
oh, and even though I have Chef hustle and the pizza maker, I would love to still see a brick pizza oven. Maybe in a kit?
