Guests won't eat cake when my sim use "call to meal"

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.108.349.1020 DX9
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Holdiay Celebration
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a birthday party, have a cake, click on it, choose "call to meal"
What happens when the bug occurs? Only the household members comes to take cake. I've tried having the cake both on table and counter. The guests take food from the fridge instead!
What do you expect to see? The other guests to eat cake! I mean it is one of the achievements for the event.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

Also the one calling to meal doesn't take a slice.

  • @Kanelbullet I always add my event guests to group and then use the "do x together" interactions to try to get them to do the event goals - so for example, "grab serving together" rather than "call to meal" because "call to meal" always just seems to make sims grab random plates from any available meal anywhere on the lot rather than specifically the one I clicked on.

@PipMenace Ohh! Why didn't I think about that? I do it to take drinks and to make them stand close to items with playful moodlets, yet I've never thought of the idea to use it to take cake! Thank you  🙂  This is still a glitch though but at least your advice helps my gameplay! I'm doing the 100 baby challenge so there's a lot of birthday parties.
