Historical/culture pack ideas

So, I really want EA to move away from making modern North American centered packs and make more historical and culturally themed packs.

Ancient China pack

Would introduce a new world with a Han or Ming dynasty theme. New CAS and build mode items, new events and careers, and new hobbies and appliances.

  1. Add lots of new homestyle, gourmet, and baking recipes with new harvestables and ingredients such as: rice, soy sauce, lotus root, jasmine flower, noodles, jujube, and adzuki beans.
  2. Add new off the grid appliances such as bamboo steamer basket (for making dim sum, steamed buns, etc), wood stove with wok, and icehouse storage (fridge).
  3. Add new activities such as paper folding, calligraphy, chinese opera, and pitch pot game.
  4. Add new instruments: pipa (guitar) and zither (piano), add new crafting stations: table loom (for embroidery/weaving), engraving, and stone carving skills.
  5. Add new martial arts skill and equipment. Allow sims to participate in martial arts competitions and spar.
  6. Add new careers: emperor, clothier, tactician, and court minister.
  7. Add new market stalls, a new garden plot (rice paddy), and a new transport vehicle palanquin.
  8. Add new event: coronation.

Victorian Pack

Would introduce a new world with a Victorian England theme. New CAS and build mode items, new events and careers, and new hobbies.

  1. Add new activities such as: clay pigeon shooting.
  2. Add new event: debutant ball.
  3. Add new etiquette skill with curtsy animations.
  4. Add new careers: governess (like a private tutor) and seamster.

Persian pack

Would introduce a new world with a Persian theme. NEW CAS and build mode items, new careers and activities, and new skills and events.

  1. New homestyle, gourmet, and baking recipes with new harvestables and ingredients such as dates, figs, apricots, and turmeric.
  2. New careers: carpet salesman and oil tycoon.
  3. New activities and skills: metalworking and wrestling.
  4. Add new events and traditions that are culturally accurate.

That sounds so cool. I would like to see a Korean pack; which will include various Korean restaurants, museums, fully functional train ride from Seoul to Busan, homes, palaces, furniture, and touristy stuff etc.  To add: Ancient Korean aka Joseon period with more clothes for both men, women, children ranging from peasants to nobility

Also, I would really love to see Japan pack. It could Ancient Japan aka Feudal Japan, homes, more clothes for both men, women, children ranging from peasants to nobility and samurai clothing

Since there is already a world with a Japanese theme, we really only need a historically themed kit or stuff pack to provide period specific CAS items, build items, and hobbies. Tomarang is an Indonesian themed world, however, I would like to see a Korean and Chinese themed world.

Other culturally themed worlds that I'd like to see as well include: Australian, an Irish/British themed kit or stuff pack to match Henford, Scandinavian, French, a German themed kit or stuff pack to match Windenberg, a hunting/foraging kit or pack to match Granite Falls, African, an Antarctic/Icelandic themed world, and a Mexican themed kit or pack to match with Oasis Springs.

I go for that. I know we got Korean  period / traditional clothes as well as regular clothes. But on the traditional clothes they need to add for adult male a Gat (hat in Korean):  All About Korean Traditional Hats  They already have a the boys hat called Bokgun.  Now it will be the hairstyles for both men, boys and women and girls from nobility and everyone else:  https://i.pinimg.com/originals/17/67/d1/1767d1d211e24474a58e3bfc2cf2cc74.jpg

  • I would love more packs from different eras and places, but that doesn't have to mean "moving away from" present-day North-American-oriented packs.  I want both.
