I have the option set to wear slippers indoors, and they automatically put some on, but I read that I had the option to change them. I wanted to change them to a different pair of slippers or at the very least, change the colour of them. Whenever I open CAS there’s no option to change indoor footwear and if they are wearing the slippers when I go to Cas, they disappear and their normal footwear is on so I can’t even change the colour. How do I do this?
I did not know we could do that, but it would be really cool. It's kind annoying that I cannot chose the indoor slippers.
Right? Like I can put slippers on my sims in CAS but if I do that, it’ll just be the pair they wear all the time instead of just in the house. I read that you can change them, or atleast the colour, I can’t remember which, but I’m pretty sure there is a way to do it. I just find the default ones ugly haha
You need to place a shoe rack outside the front door (it's somewhere under "clutter", which you can access using the fruit bowl on the shelf in the kitchen in build/buy). Once you've placed it, you just have to click on it to get the various footwear options.
I bought a shoe rack, it’s inside. Does it have to be outside? Because it’s still only telling me I the indoor footwear options like to set the rules but nothing about choosing a different type of slippers or even colour. So it has to be outside of the house?
I don't think it matters where you place it as long as you have one. It's just that one of the families (Nishidake?) has theirs just outside the front door. Also, the shoe rack only sets the shoe wearing rules. If you want sims to wear different shoes with different outfits, you'll have to design each outfit choice separately in CAS.
No part of that is true. There is no option to pick different shoes on the game that I have found. When you look this question up, the shoe rack is the answer and it says its solved. Nope. Not true. Perhaps there's a mod which allows this. I've just yet to find it.
._. if you place for example the shoerack for men for example inside of your sims house and than click on it and click on slippers for inside (dont know if its realy called like that my game is in german so I think its "Hausschuhe für drinnen vorschreiben") than your sims will automaticly wear slippers inside, maybe kids sometimes wont because they dont want to follow the rule but thats how it is and you can even size the shoerack down and maybe place it into the one from seasons and the rule still works.
and its also not a mod its basegame or from snowy escape ._. dont know but one of these two options (I cant tell you to 100% because I had the snowy escape expansion pack when I found his out and snowy escape has this sign with the rule so noone wears shoes inside)
They will wear slippers, but you cannot choose which slippers they would wear.
Yes, I also wish we could change the slippers worn for the "wear slippers indoors" option on the shoe rack or "no shoes" sign.
