This is super annoying. I get it, ThrifTea exists, I don’t need a daily reminder. We get ONE reminder about Batuu and university when a new game is started; this is already unnecessary, I know what expansions I have, but at least it only happens once. The daily ThrifTea notification feels like the game trying to force me to use this feature.
- Kathykins4 years agoSeasoned Ace@DemB00ts Very much agree with you. Its very annoying to get this notification every day. I know where the ThrifTea is, and I have no interest in going. I found nothing to buy from the store, and my sims have food/drinks at home. Its not my idea of a thrift shop at all.
The game is already overflowing with notifications, I really didn't need more of them. - HALirious9k2 years agoSeasoned Hotshot@DemB00ts I had high hopes for SocialBunny, but after using it a while, the daily notifications help me remember to deactivate it ASAP. 😝
Indeed, a one time reminder would suffice in most of the cases for these events. Maybe they should be properly attached to certain conditions — like having teenagers in the household for the football/cheerleading events.- MarleyTheWizard2 years agoSeasoned Ace
I have tried my best to ignore it, but with ever growing amount of notifications, I no longer can.
The only positive is that at least the notification is silent...I wish there was an option to check that you were a seasoned simmer, meaning that you don't need all of the info notifications.
A better design would be having the notification once per save/per household, or only if there is a teen in the household. - Kantar6631 days agoRising Adventurer
I also have all my Sims (when I play) turn off that stupid part of the game. Now I wish I could block the pathetic losers who call almost daily to ask if they should ask someone out, or spend time with a friend, or get a new job. Or the people who call to congratulate a Sim for getting a new job, or promotion, or for becoming friends with someone. While we're at it, let's also stop the stupid solicitations from people offering jobs. If the people working on this game think this is normal, they lead very pathetic lives.
