I want to be able to Disable Ghosts

Question

I have asked for this before, but I am going to try again. I would really LOVE to be able to turn off Ghosts. I absolutely despise them. I don't mind Sims dying I just don't want a ghost to replace them.

Up until now, I have had mods that have kept them at bay for the most part, but if there was a mod or a cheat that would let me turn them and the Grim Reaper off it would make my gameplay so much better. I have yet to update my game for the L&D base game update because I don't want all of extra ghostly features in my game. I'm hoping some modder will have mods in the future to be able to do what I'd like and shut them down.

That's what I have to say. My wish list is that EA would make it possible to just turn them off. That said, If anyone can point me to new mods that might help in this regard I'd appreciate it. . At present I use MCCC, some LMS' mods and another mod the prevents then from calling. Though I'm not sure if those mods work with the new update.

Oh man. I've been searching online for a mod to get rid of all the new ghost features. They are such a nuisance. I play legacy style. I don't want a ton of ghosts/urns all over the place. Let me just release them and be done with it.&nbsp;

I think there is a way to do this in MCCC Settings. So definitely check out the basic settings, the population settings, tuner settings, and the occult settings. You can have it so that when sims die they immediately transform into an urn, force the game to cull all ghosts, and prevent ghosts from spawning in the first place.

You can also just delete the ghosts your sims are friends with using MCCC.

I don't really know how to get rid of the urns, though. I've used LMS Release all the Ghosts mod and it's great for releasing the ghosts, getting an urn for a ghost that doesn't have one, but it doesn't let you destroy an urn or tombstone which is annoying. The only way I've found to delete them is to either put them in the inventory of a sim you are going to delete or put them on a community lot and then replace the community lot. Although the urn needs to be "unowned" by your sim for that to work or it will just end up back in their inventory.

I use MCCC a lot for it right now... I really need to do a deep dive on all of it's features, cause it does a Lot. I didn't realize I can keep them from spawning with it too.&nbsp;

I can see the issues. Personally I don't want to disable them totally, but I find the ghosts too omnipresent. I wish they were more unusual/spooky and took some luck or effort to locate and interact with. Just have some mystery.

At least severely restrict them. Since Life &amp; Death there seem to be more ghosts than "live" sims. Everywhere I go, there they are! And I suddenly had practically all sims die of old age in a couple days of game play. I thought I would get to choose like at first but now they just die and hand around; not playable but ever present. I want to release them all, but I don't want them to get removed from the family trees!&nbsp;
