Is it feature or bug: Songwriting
Trying to complete the Musical Genius aspiration is more annoying than adventurous or fun. When your Sim is in progress of writing, you absolutely CANNOT: travel, CAS, and to a lesser extent, save. Why? In case you reload that Save you'll start back to the beginning and that's another bill for my anger management...
It's such an unforgiving experience because sometimes I'll forget that my Sim is in the middle of writing a song and go travel somewhere. Your Sim can also get the Creative Block moodlet from too much playing instrument. Sure, you can pause the progress and resume as long as you don't go into ANY loading screen but the fact that they take ungodly amount of time to write songs is just.... idk, insane.
I'm aware of mods existing to alleviate this but I just wish this game design is a bit different or allow it to survive loading screens. Another thing that I noticed having the same mechanics is writing Application Grant for Conservationist career. It's even worse because your Sim can cancel this interaction or override it doing something else if Free Will is full. If you tell your Sim to do it again, it'll restart back to the beginning, costing around 4-5 sim hours to do. GOD.
Sorry I just gotta vent because I have a few musician Sims and it feels punishing to try this Aspiration.
