Illegitimate and Not Normal

Please oh please, tell me what the "pickle" is the Legitimate and Normal raccoon tailed unwanted "pickleheads" EA PUSHED mess on my Sims front porch? Can I eliminate it from my game? I'm so tired of EA forcing gameplay on us - I will never forgive them for "death" because my played SIms best friends just dropped like flies. Is there a toggle? There should be a toggle for everything like that, like they have for keeping werewolves in their own world. A cheat to turn it off? Why can't EA understand that many players play how they want and don't care for being pushed into actions they don't want and never will? Provide these things if you will but allow people to opt in/out. I've been playing TS since the beginning so don't need weird little quirks and distractions like new players might

BTW, had to edit because EA doesn't like being called out because a billion dollar company can't take criticism from the people who've invested a lot of money for a few decades.
