Infants/Children Aging—What Nightmare!

I thought I'd do a test gameplay to try to get a natural Grimborn since the Grimborn trait doesn't automatically make Grim Reaper the father, which I think it should, and our "Family Tree" update didn't give any edit family tree options or help in trying to get NPCs added to families. I play with aging off, and there is no way to age up infants!?

Not with cheats? not with cake? not in CAS? what the hey!

I already hate playing young families, and that is on me, this is not what/how I play in Sims, and the only way to get through this is turning on aging and wait.... But I cannot believe that after all these years people who do play families are fine with this set up?

I remember Sims 3 had easy aging up cheat, why is that not in the game...? I want to scrap my test and just wait for the maybe never happening edit family tree update that "maybe" I can edit Grim in that way X /

  • The way to age up the newborns is to click on the bassinet and click age up. To age up every other stage, you just cook a cake and then select help age up with an teen to elder. The older sim will carry the infant and toddler sims to the cake. That is how it happens with aging on, I believe the same happens with aging off.
