Edit Extended Family Trees
I'd love it if in manage worlds you can edit family trees, so you can update families that are added per pack/gallery/etc. Many people love the family trees of the main Sim families, like the Goth, Crumplebottom, Bachelor and Caliente families which are connected together throughout the series. So many marriages, cousins, etc.
And allow TBA/placeholders for unknowns and not yet added to the game Sims. Also allow for NPCs we cannot control so they are not left out. This would help with non-canon romancing with extended family from happening.
edit: Last year made templates for the Sims wiki for family trees. And set up the cross-over legacies for the Goth/Crumplebottom/Bachelor/Caliente Family Tree. For example on why we need a more complex family tree system.
edit, edit:
Grimborns, Father Winter's Baby, etc.:
I'd also love it if we could edit the Grim Reaper's (Father Winter's, etc.) family tree(s) so we can add Nyon Specter, any player made Grimborns, Father Winter's Baby, etc.
Fated/Destined Family:
What I'd love to see is for those of us who micro-manage our Sims. Planned fated/destined family tree options. Like planning genetics/offspring especially if you are basing a household on a real life or fictional family (instead of cheat changing after the fact). Like if the first child would be a Sim you have already set up in your library and will be pre-dressed and trait decided before even born. Second would be twins, etc.
It would also be cool if you can while in gameplay or manage worlds create fated/destined partners links (and that if on autonomy eventually end up together and stay together).
Relation and/or Ancestor/Descendant:
I think that adding family ties such as Relation and/or Ancestor/Descendant should be added as well—for Distant Relatives. As well as Placeholders that can be added later on if wanted.
I cannot stress enough that this should be added at a Manage World level, and that this should be achievable without mods such as MCCC.
If relationships and family ties was editable at a Manage World level, any game breaking update (for family trees) could be manually fixed by the player if need be. It can be set up in a similar way as shuffling households around, and a Family Tree tab to see/view all household family trees, and to be able to edit there.
I'd also love if Dynasties were extended/updated to more members or creation, it could be also edited at a Manage World level too, so you don't have to set up Dynasties in live mode.
Start a Game by editing town/manage worlds:
It would also be helpful if you can start a Game by editing town/manage worlds, and NOT have to create a family/move in first/before trying to retroactivity undo/delete to get it blank without progress. Especially, if you want to have a master world template (just even to do townie and build makeovers, and adding gallery Sims) before you even start adding your own Sims/households.
Vampire Sire Family Trees:
I'd also like the addition of Vampire Sire Family Trees/connections, and the ability to edit them.
edit, June 11, 2026:
DNA%:
I think it would be great if DNA% even if not resulting in occult could be shown, like in a pie chart on the family tree view. Sort of a 23andMe for Sims, so Sims with occult DNA can be seen. I think if be mostly fun for Lore Legacy Sims such as the Calientes, but also for those who play occults, especially mixed occults.
