Life & Death Critiques
I have enjoyed what I've seen thus far but I do have a few criticisms
The Big Ones
- Fog - Really we couldn't get fog as an unlockable weather? Don't you like the idea of giving those who don't have it another benefit of purchasing Seasons? Quite literally people have been complaining about not having Fog or Hail and here was the perfect time to have added fog.
- The Bell Tower should NOT have been a Rabbit Hole - It should have had something you could build
- You know so that we could place one in other places
- Finally have gotten the spiral staircase after 10 years
- Perhaps have made little Bell Ringer Clubs
- Had different chimes to fit different areas
- Maybe placed it into a building we built
- The Grandfather Clocks are still just decorative - LAME - Sims 2 had chimes and you could wind it and it showed the time. SIMS 2 in 2004 - 2008 for crying out loud.
- Not being able to leave tributes at the graves - Really? Pretty big omission for a pack that is about honoring the deceased.
- No Coins thats a tradition in several cultures
- No Candles
- No Bouquets
- No Single Roses or Calla Lilies
- Not being able to take Rubbings of the Graves. That is hobby for some folks. For others its a form of loving tribute
- Sad that there is little in the way of Community Lots I honestly don't like all the shell building no matter how attractive they are. It would have been nicer to have just built a few empty community lots and let us decide what goes in it or have placed the casket vendor inside one. Seems a little inappropriate of having him sell his wares in the town square
- No Specific Pet Urns or Head Stones - Please stop ignoring Pets
- Honestly I would have put the Fortune Teller back in the game and expanded their divination tools to Tarot & Tasseography as well as the ones they had before in Sims 3.
- We could join the Career in Sims 3. Bringing that career and skill set back would have not only enhanced this pack but added a bit to Paranormal Stuff and all the other occult packs.
- Fortune Tellers are human crossroads for almost all occults as you see from old horror films. Need to talk to someone on how to handle a Werewolf curse you go to talk to the old lady at the caravan.
- We just got those little Tarot cards and thats all
- Just a bunch of missed opportunity
- You should have added unlockable Funeral Arrangements that would have shown up under Flower Arranging to give it a small refresh. Missed Opportunity. Same as how you missed Ikebana in Snowy Escape and Flower Leis in Island Living. Corsages in High School Years. Bouquets & Boutonnieres in My wedding Stories. Ignoring past packs to me denotes a general sense of apathy and lack of courage. Refreshes are popular and giving unlockable features to past packs only increases the value of the all packs involved in the eye of the consumer.
Small Critiques
- Lady Ravendancer's Crystal Ball still hasn't added Clear/White or Black Crystal. I thought this pack was a good opportunity for you to expand on the colors since we don't have as many tools as we got in Sims 3 for customizing.
- There isn't a set of glass double or single doors to match the new windows for the Sunroom/Greenhouse/Conservatory windows. I feel like there should have been the doors we got just don't seem right especially if they are interior doors
- I think we didn't get any new Recipes but I hadn't checked just yet. Which is kind of a missed opportunity if not since Romania literally has recipes dedicated to funeral services
