@ID-Christian I don't own Bust the Dust and the main reason for this is that I have no control over which Lots it affects. I would love to see the system work the same way as Laundry Day where the system only activates if a "hero" object is on the Lot. In this case if there is a vacuum on the Lot then the dust system would activate.
Or perhaps it could be a Lot Challenge instead because Sims being able to put the vacuum in their inventories could cause issues.

not gonna lie i sometimes forget we can turn them off in the settings but i prefer having them in the "Lot Challenge" instead, that makes more sense
the "Bust The Dust" is a boring pack, i love how it came with 2 aspirations but that's just it, they could've turned the dust floor into a challenge and it should've come with Laundry Day so i agree with both of this
