Marriages not recognized and romance disabled

I have discovered this in one of my SIM families. It is a quite complicated family tree and in one instance there was a marriage between two First Cousins Once removed. Meaning a Sim marrying their cousin’s child. I will note for the record that such marriages are not prohibited in most of the United States. I think only four states have restrictions. The new update has broken this marriage. They are no longer married. The family tree shows no marriage. Even though they’ve already had children. And they cannot have any romantic interactions. Very frustrating. I thought EA had promised this update was not going to break existing relationships. I’m on Xbox 

In the same complicated family I’m referencing I have just discovered in another relationship. The game has labeled two male spouses as half brothers. They are absolutely not. 

A further thing I noticed on the First Cousin Once removed that have been unmarried by the update. Their romance bar is still full. And when in bed, they will autonomously cuddle. But the cuddle interaction is not available to me.

I sent my save and a few details on impacted households.

Somehow, my comment on this thread had gotten linked over to some other family tree complaint which is now marked as fixed. Whatever that problem was is different than this problem. Which, as far as I can tell, it’s not been fixed.

Wait so my Sims are supposed to have full romance bars and only one romance interaction available? And their marriages, which have children in them, are no longer recognized? I moved one of my Sims into a new house since they could not continue with their marriage and the other one comes over constantly"drawn by their love". This can't be the intended design of the game for existing pairings. 

I only play with one save, it's from 2019, the new family tree has broken all my families, it's unplayable now. But hey it's functioning as designed too bad the design sucks.
