Married royal couple had secret child ?

Not sure how this works . My two royal sims got married and then she fell pregnant shortly after. She birthed a son whom i quickly named as heir to the dynasty , but in the family tree he's listed as their ' secret child .' I'm confused as to why since they are married and didn't have that child until after they were married . I know you can duel for permission , but he's dynasty head and it's silly for him to duel another sim for permission to engage in relations with his own wife .

    I'm having similar issues in my game. I have one main household I'm playing but every so often I go around to the other families and dynasties to make sure sims have partners and children. To make the process faster I do use a couple mods and cheats, such as cas.fulleditmode to make sims married, then use MCCC to start a pregnancy. When I come back and check on the families a lot end up having secret children.
