My Reaper is now harvesting living sims

I hope this isn't a new bug in the game but my active sim is a Reaper and the call came in for him to go and harvest some mischevious spirits that were tormentiing guests at the Fitness Camp.  He arrived but there were no ghosts or spirits.  There were only living guests but the game said for my sim to harvest them so I guess I didn't have any choice.  Had to swing my sickle and take their souls back to the Boss.  There were five urns left behind.  I didn't think Reapers actually killed anybody.  I thought the sims were dead from some natural cause and all the Reapers did was clean up after the fact.  Probably this is just a glitch between the Life & Death pack and the New Adventure Awaits pack.  I hope someone fixes it because I hated killing some of those playable sims. In hind sight I could have just said I couldn't find all them and left them alive.  His performance wouldn't have suffered that much.  I wonder if I can pull these sims back off the gallery where I stored them when I first made them?
