I hope this gets addressed soon because it's was such a miss. And even announcing it with a BG #playground build event to protect it. Will there be anything changing with the 23rd console update now and the launch of the child focused event starting the 23rd too?? Or will it stay like that till the Oct 2 update after the EP launch??
Solution could be adding 2 more playground items (1 swingset at bare minimum atp as SDX would be perfect) to the base game as a gesture to redeem the oversight and reducing the # of equip needed to 4 (instead of just going down to 1-2 and keeping the base game so empty while selling and promoting the new EP playground builds).
Players can still have purchased a number of game packs and stuff packs and still not meet the 6 requirement. Players need to purchase a full Expansion (or expansions) to get the needed playground equipment. Specifically, the EP you're selling Oct.2 will have enough though.
That's what makes this new feature "BG update" playground venue that requires 6 equipment so disappointing. It never did have BG in mind.

I agree. I have all of the packs, so I'm able to add swing sets and other playground equipment; however, after playing a challenge where I had to disable all packs except Get to Work, I realized how empty base game feels without the packs. They should've included a base game swing set or slide in the event that's running now just to make the playground venue look more interesting other than adding a bunch of monkey bars and the pirate/rocket ship.
