My favourite animations are closet woohoo and play with toddler 😊
I think many of the animations are good, but there aren't enough of them, so I wished more animations and less repetitivity.

Interesting survey. Thanks for sharing.
I think most of the animations in the game are pretty good but some can feel out of place, like the happy/excited animation, I have always felt that sims look odd when they are laughing for themselves. In my opinion sims look too happy when they are in a fine or neutral emotional state.
Some animations are reused a bit too much too, for some I feel it would make sense for the sim to use some kind of tool, but they are instead using their bare hands or they reuse the similar repair or grab or interact animations.
Some of my favorite animations in the game are probably animations where the sims are doing motions with their entire body and where they interact a lot with each other, like the deep conversation animation or the finger gun flirting animation (which was an example in the survey).

TBH, I am generally good with the animations. As mentioned some don't make full sense/seem out of place (but heck that can be said even about cultural body language/mannerisms, and they do not always transcend universally).
My only suggestion was if they wanted to go the extra mile expand "walk styles" to full on "behaviour/action/animation styles". Otherwise, just keep up the campy and fun animations, I really get a kick out of it XD

I think the animations are really the heart of TS4. In general they're well done and funny. My favourite animations are bush woohoo, cooking and snobby walk. My least favourite is the stargazing/cloud gazing animation because it's so repetitive....
I mentioned though that I would like more:
- character/trait based animations (walking styles, idle animations)
- more ways to use objects, especially writing diary/doing homework on the ground
- talking interactions that are tied to specific animations, because many of them reuse the same ones

I responded with how I felt that some animations were too bland, because they felt like they were made purposely generic so they could be recycled for future things. (Looking at you, swipe animation.) And I also complained about how so many of the animations and reactions felt very feminine, which didn't always fit my sim. I highlighted the proposal animation for this one.
Meanwhile, my favorite animations were some of the wild flirting animations from Lovestruck. Gotta love that seductive dance. Overall, I'm fine with the more expressive animations, and my main problems come from ones that are meant to be reused over and over.

I mentioned the perfection trait not getting animations from failures or good creations.

Personally I think animations are where the game needs LEAST work. But animators might have nothing to do, so... fair game.
It was a very specific survey, but I did my best. Thank you for sharing the link.
