Nothing for Sims to do!

I think you need to explore the game more because there is absolutely a ton of things for Sims to do. There's a movie theatre in Growing Together, you can also build your own movie theatres with movie hangout and custom lot venues from adventure awaits. Kids can already help with cooking by using the Cooking Together feature. Sims can do homework faster by earning specific gameplay rewards. There's tons to do in towns that they have added in. Sounds to me like you just haven't explored fully what things you can do. You can make playgrounds, dog parks, cat parks, you can send Sims to do winter themed sports with Snowy Escape, explore the jungle in Jungle Adventures and find treasures. You can send Sims on trail walks in multiple packs. Your Sims can order French fries at Cafes and Bars, there are rideable boats in Island Living and Adventure Awaits. You can set up vacation days for familiy outings in the calender, have picnics in the park. You can reduce grieving time by sending Sims to grief councelling or by doing things that can reduce the grieving time. You actually have to do these things yourself and not just expect the game to do it all for you.

RiseGrace1​ you might be interested in Royalty and Legacy. That has learning to Waltz on a special dancefloor and it has sailboats. I'm finding it to be the most playable pack for a while just in terms of the new gameplay. I've been a bit immersed in it. My Sim has been learning to swordfight, hunting pirate treasure and working her way up in society. 

The movie theatre was added in Anchorpoint Wharf with Growing Together along with some more much needed activities for kids. I like the treehouse and I have some lucky little Sims that have the playground equipment from Adventure Awaits in their back garden. I was a bit bored with the usual stuff.

There's all that they've said above however you're right OP some simmers for years have been saying cars, wanting amusement parks, wanting a pool table back, wanting more sports in the game like volleyball and more hobbies and it's going to keep on happening lol because EA don't want to listen to the simmers who play the game and give us the marketplace and then act shocked when it's not doing well...Just give us what the simmers have been asking for. 

Cars are likely never going to happen in The Sims 4. The majority of the lots are not even connected to roads so it would be pointless. I'd rather time and effort when into something else rather than static cars that your Sims get in and out of and vanish. There's tons of hobbies in the game and again a lot of what the OP has said is already in the game minus a few things.

Like I said to OP and some simmers there's not enough if you're happy with the game great that's your opinion though some simmers are not exhibit A OP they're not happy.

With the cars that's why simmers especially myself is voicing about cars we would like cars in the game it would work like Sims 2 no you won't be able to see it around the town because it's not an open world like 3 however you can have game play like work on the car mechanic skill, wash the car when it's dirty, install a burglar system, woohoo in the car, sleep in the car, listen to music, the kids can pretend to drive. Plus some simmers act like Sims don't know what to do with cars like Sims Bustin Out was a literal car going down the road and that was are loading screen Sims Urbz had a motorcycle running up and down an alleyway but guess what simmers were excited just for those things because it was vehicles some simmers act like cars and vehicles never existed before Sims 3. 

I'm not saying it not a good idea, I can see why some players would like even just the ability to do things with the car. But personally I'd rather they focus their time, money and rescources on something that could benefit more than a small fraction of Sims players.

That's your opinion however I respectfully disagree since the fact is this game been out for over a decade and simmers been asking for the same things over and over and they give us something that only holds interest for a short while then it's pushed on the shelf or they cut up and half based from previous games.

Also new simmers are now coming and asking why doesn't Sims 4 has xyz while Sims 3,2,and 1 had it. 

Also EA is always coming out with surveys asking what we want in the game we tell them and then they give us something completely different then asks again and buy the way Cars were the top of the things asked for by simmers so I wouldn't say a small fraction but digress also the highest were Hotels yet we don't have that either but they again keep asking what do simmers want and our answers have not changed so...

Well considering it seems like there's no more expansions coming to The Sims 4 anyways, I highly doubt cars will ever come. As for Hotels, there are multiple systems in the game already that could be used to create something similar to a hotel. B&H you can basically build your own Hotel and have Sims come and eat and do other activities. There's Vacation Rentals which act as places to stay when going on a Vacation to another world. Custom Venue/Getaways from Adventure awaits can literally be used to make a Hotel experience with visitors, staff ect. We don't need a dedicated Hotel pack when there's so many things in the game already that can create this experience. I've been playing this game since release and I'm still using almost all of the packs that came out years ago and I'm not bored at all. I use my imagination and create stories and set up the worlds to have so many things your Sims can go out and do that isn't just the generic things. The Sims team have added in so many things that have come from surverys and player feedback over the many years and still continue to listen to player feedback to this day.

I've been playing since it released as well and that's the problem EA doesn't listen you can't make an actual hotel but back in previous games you can, Sims 4 has took steps back instead of moving forward and it shows tremendously like everywhere people are asking even on here I just got out of a thread asking about why Sims 4 doesn't have xyz from previous games, it's a problem.

That's up to you to believe all the gossip sites about rumours I'm a until it gets confirmed by the actual person then okay type a person. 

If you like the game cool enjoy the game I however think Sims 4 took huge steps back and continues to take huge steps back. 

You are entitled to your opinion of course. I think The Sims 4 has improved upon so many things from previous games and as someone who played The Sims 3 as well. I honestly think the Hotels/Resorts were pretty lame and undewhelming 😅
