Other ideas/relationships that could be fun!

I hope it's all right to start another topic too haha I had a few other ideas come to mind but idk if they've been done yet in other expansions and I just haven't seen them yet!

Live in nanny - a nonplayable character. I find the nannies in the sims 4 are infuriating haha they only stick around for a day and for my single mother who has four kids I'm like, where are you going?? And why aren't you helping out more haha - so maybe a nanny that can stay and actually be of help instead of standing around right until the toddler ages up? They can go about their regular lives but they're mainly at the sim's residence! Maybe more male nannies too?

Sibling rivalry - The dynamic of the oldest child, middle child and baby of the family and all those social dynamics would be so cool! I feel like it would add more depth to siblings cause there's not much that goes on between them that's different from any other family relationship so it's kind of boring. Lol Plus if the parent had a favorite and the others knew that would be interesting as well!

Adopted kids - Maybe kids put up for adoption could reappear in the world with their adopted families and whether you choose the option of being able to interact with them or not would be interesting! They wouldn't show up in your family tree but you'd know it was them.

Sims that have a crush on someone but isn't reciprocated! Especially in teens but adults too. It's a bit boring that you can get anyone to fall in love with each other if you play the game the usual way.

Home schooling instead of the kids going to public school would be interesting as well! Maybe there's even an option to hire at home tutors?

  • i have ideas that involves little kids: Can we have a school pack based on children? | EA Forums - 11172051 and for toddlers too: Can we have a toddler based pack? | EA Forums - 12111749

as for the home schooling idea i have this one in mind: Home Schooling game pack idea | EA Forums - 12109479

as for the sibling rivalry i'm thinking about adding this as a basegame update with the neighbourhood stories, we kind of already have the rivalry that comes with "Growing Together" but they should implement it better in my opinion, i feel like they get along yet don't get along at the same time, if you hate someone so much you can't pretend like you like them, someone made a post about it in which i made a comment they should add rivalry/enemies in the neighbourhood stories: Updated Neighborhood Stories

i never check the family tree but if not mistaken if you have the neighbourhood stories turned on and you turn adoption option on it's possible to add adopted kids to your household

as for having crushes on someone i agree everybody likes fall in love with each other, it's not realistic, people in real life have crushes but that person might not feel the same way about you, we do have preferences if you have "Lovestruck" pack installed but i do still feel like anyone can have a crush with like everybody and they like feel the same way, it shouldn't be like that others feel the same way about you, they can improve Lovestruck for that part

i heard nanny's are useless so i'd love to hear your ideas they should do more than watching the babies, infants and toddlers, instead they should really take care of them, if not mistaken if you have "Growing Together" pack installed you can let them have a sleepover for a few days, i didn't tried much of it though but if not mistaken they can take care of your houses for sure, they're non-playable character so it's a win-win you won't have to control them

i hope that answers your guestion?

  • I would love the homeschooling option for all ages from elementary to college as it's way more realistic of having a choice on how to raise your kid in game. I was homeschooled myself for part of my schooling and it made the school/life/work balance so much better. We could then maybe have an option for the parent (and/or just through the computer) to teach the child. The parent would have teaching be a skill-based skill they can train to be more effective at teaching their child. Why should you learn how to read/wright in school if your parent is a professional author for example? At the same time that parent might not be very effective in teaching gym class if they have no fitness skill.
