[Pack Idea] Skill Competitions, Business Perks, & Sabotage System!

Pack Idea: The Sims 4 Ultimate Showdown (Competitions and Sabotage) Hello Simmers and Devs! I have been thinking about a major feature missing from The Sims 4. I would love to pitch an Expansion Pack completely centered around all-skill competitions and ranked tournaments, featuring active training lots, realistic performance emotional states, and devious sabotage mechanics. While packs like Cottage Living gave us a small taste of town fairs, I want a full expansion where our Sims can train, enter brackets, and compete to be the absolute best in the world across multiple categories. The Main Competition Categories - Culinary Face-Offs: Timed cooking, baking, and mixology battles in front of a live panel of judges. - The Performing Arts: Singing showcases, synchronized or solo dance-offs, and battle-of-the-bands style music tournaments. - Athletics and Sports: Active sports tournaments including gymnastics, martial arts, track and field, or team sports. - Creative Arts: Painting, woodworking, and fashion design showcases judged on quality and emotional vibe. Devious Sabotage Mechanics Not every Sim wants to win fairly! Players with high Mischief skills or specific traits can choose to actively sabotage their rivals backstage before a major performance. - Culinary Sabotage: Swap an opponent's high-quality ingredients with expired food, or secretly add ghost peppers to their dish to ruin the flavor profile. - Performance Sabotage: Loosen the strings on a rival's guitar, grease the floorboards of the dance stage to cause slips, or swap out a singer's vocal tea with something that makes them lose their voice. - Athletic Sabotage: Tamper with gym equipment or untie a rival's sneakers right before they walk onto the field. High-Stakes Consequences for Getting Caught If your Sim attempts sabotage, a hidden Detection Bar determines if they succeed. If another Sim, a judge, or a security camera catches them in the act, the consequences are severe. - Instant Disqualification and Ban: Your Sim is instantly thrown out of the current venue and banned from entering any tournament in that specific region for 2-3 Sim weeks. - Reputation and Business Ruin: Your Sim gains a massive Cheater reputation sentiment. If they own a small business, customer traffic drops drastically due to the public scandal, and any active sponsorship deals are instantly canceled. - Rivalry and Feuds: The sabotaged Sim becomes a permanent Bitter Rival, leading to unique negative interactions, public confrontations, and trash-talk options whenever they cross paths. Winning Benefits for Small Businesses Winning on the circuit shouldn't just award a trophy, it should elevate your Sim's career or owned venue. - Advertising and Sponsorships: Winning major tournaments unlocks exclusive Marketing Deals or high-value advertising spots, driving a massive surge of customers to your Sim's retail store, restaurant, or business venue. - Unlockable Skill Resources: High-tier wins reward rare training manuals, specialized gear, or specialized resource kits to help train employees or apprentices much faster. New Apprenticeships and Tattoo Contests Building on the Tattooing skill: - Tattoo Apprenticeships: Young or low-skilled Sims can take on active apprenticeships at a studio, practicing stencils on dummy skin or brave volunteers under a master's supervision. - Ink Showdowns: Enter high-stakes live tattoo competitions where timing and accuracy dictate whether your Sim crafts a masterpiece or a hilarious, permanent mistake! Active Training and Leaving the Home Lot Instead of skills being practiced in a silo at home, this pack would introduce an option to leave the home lot entirely to accompany your Sim to active Dance Studios and Music Conservatories. - You can actively watch and direct your Sim as they train in specific dance or singing styles. - Interact with coaches, use specialized mirrors or vocal booths, and scrimmage against other training Sims on-site to build confidence. Realistic Performance Emotions and Failures Performing live shouldn't feel like a normal daily interaction. We need dynamic, realistic stage emotions. - Before the Stage: Sims experience a new Stage Fright / Nervous emotion. Highly prepared Sims can shake this off to become Confident, while under-prepared Sims might freeze up. - Mid-Performance Disasters: If a dancer unexpectedly slips, misses a step, or a singer cracks a note, they will have instant, visceral emotional reactions, ranging from deep Embarrassment to Resilience. I feel like this would breathe so much life into the skills we already have in the game, giving our Sims a true reason to master their crafts and build thriving businesses. What does everyone think? Would you play as an honest champion or a master saboteur ?
