Photos and Screenshots

Why have the Sims not made it so screen shots can be photos?
That fact that this isn't an option is the most annoying thing, especially for those of us who have lost all their photos to the "black photo bug" even after they said they fixed it. Have the option to make screenshots a photo would be a easy fix to this problem since they obviously cant fix the bug. It would allow most people a change to recover those photos. I do not play with mods and would rather have it be a regular feature in the game for those of us that do not use mods.
