I went through every sim and turned them hetero. None of it stuck. They force the gay stuff in our faces.
I did the same thing myself and it seems to have stuck. I'm sorry it doesn't seem to be working for you. I know you shouldn't have to, but there are some mods that can help if you don't mind using them.
