I most sadly doubt in the return of SIMCITY ( anytime soon); but, building on your idea somewhat.
Worlds/Cities that can grow (or remain small) and be much bigger based on Residential, Commercial, Industrial and ( adding) Food Supply demands from SimCity.
World/Regional Demands
Train Depots/Commercial and Passenger
etc.
Anyway. I'm all about anything bringing back SIMCITY, STREETS of SIMCITY, SIMCOPTER, SIMTOWER, SOCIETIES, etc. and finally getting our SIMS to live in (and dramatically impact) far more amazing and dynamic worlds.
