Reading to fairy house, is this a bug or intentional?

My Sim went home with her date & while she's fixing some food, he went over to her fairy house & is reading it a story. It's empty, but he's showing it pictures in the book and reading in a very anim...

k1o1q2mw0be0​ my Sim read to the fairy house twice in a row I think. Eventually it lit up with disco lights, music started playing and the house started to move. My Sim then got the option to dance along which made her really happy. It was pretty cute I must admit. I don't know if it was linked to reading to it first as there was so much to do I've only done this once.
