Request for Multilingual Support in Mod Removal and Troubleshooting Guides

Hello,

When issues occur after updates, many players rely on the EA Bug Report Forum or EA Help articles to find out how to remove or disable mods. However, most of these guides are only available in English.

There are several ways to disable or remove mods besides just unchecking "Enable Script Mods" in the game settings—for example:

Removing the entire Mods folder,
Deleting cache files,
Temporarily moving the entire The Sims 4 user folder.

These solutions are described in detail on EA’s bug report forum, but for non-English-speaking players, it is very difficult to locate and understand them.

I believe it would be very helpful if EA could provide troubleshooting guides and links in multiple languages (just like patch notes and announcements are localized). Since The Sims 4 has a large player base worldwide, including many who are not fluent in English, multilingual support for these help articles would greatly improve accessibility and reduce frustration.

    Hi evenif71​ 😄 I agree with you! It's important to have information in all supported languages.

    Several languages already have a dedicated section for Mods and CC content:

     

    I can’t reply on behalf of everyone, but since I’m a Spanish speaking player, I can share what we have in the Spanish language section of the forums.

    The main article is this one: Mods y las actualizaciones del juego.

    It explains the steps players should take before and after each game update, including:

    • How to temporarily remove Mods and CC to avoid conflicts.
    • How to check whether a mod needs updating.
    • Recommendations for safely reintroducing content once it’s confirmed compatible.

     

    Guides like this are very useful to make sure players in every language community can troubleshoot issues without relying only on English resources.
