@faf7e5393f79cf66Unpopular opinion… but to be able to continue to pay for the constant running of a game (glitches fixes, new content) you need game developers, managers, an hr department even. It don’t come free.
I’m not even mad that they lock content behind a paywall…..
but don’t make it a subscription service …. Don’t make me pay for game passes like in the sims mobile … which is what they’ll most likely do next…. Don’t force me to get my sims to make random food and drinks so that I can get 1 item that I actually want and force me to get 4 other free items first.
Let me do a trade in option where I can trade in 10 ugly jumpers for a hairstyle that I actually want in pack. (I brought nifty knitting just for the locs… ) …. And yet I’ve got at least 200 ugly af clothing … if we had a trade in option it would force then to make clothes that are actually nice … and not give us ugly swatches.
…… and don’t make a multiplayer sims game …… the gallery is the only form of multiplayerness that simmers want …. I don’t want random people to show up in my world .. I delete all npcs because why do they look like that ….
I agree 👍 with you! Unpopular opinion or not, I don't see why people feel the need to constantly complain about the inadequacy of the BASE GAME. It is afterall just that - a BASE on which to put other things. I DO think 🤔 that compared to TS2 & TS3 there is too much DLC, but in a way it's GOOD that it is so subdivided.
As many have said, TS4 runs better with fewer DLC installed. We are all different, and packs that I LOVE ❤️, like Cats & Dogs or City Living may bore you to tears, as you much prefer Highschool Years & Discover University, 2 packs I will NEVER install even if they were FREE.
This is the good thing about having s veritable BUFFET of DLC on offer. But, just like at a Buffet IRL it would be inadvisable to get ALL DLC, simply because they exist.
A subscription service (like EA play) is a very poor way to get TS4, because unlike many games with a beginning, a middle and an end TS4 has no defined goals and no defined end. Because of this, losing one's save files should one decide that they no longer want to keep paying for a subscription would be DEVASTATING in a way that losing save files in a standard game where once you have "won", you no longer need the save files would be.
