Sims 4 Autonomy Options

I'm playing the 100 baby challenge and I get frustrated when I choose to keep autonomy off so the sims don't make decisions while I'm trying to meet a goal in the challenge and they for example continue to pick up the baby to put them down while I am trying to get the infant to meet their milestones. If the no autonomy was actually true I wouldn't have to cancel unwanted movements when I'm playing.
