Sims 4 Multiplayer or Online

@morrisbettah I know some players who would like this feature. In fact I gave it as a Xmas gift to a young relative who loved the Sims but was immediately disappointed they couldn't connect with friends games in gameplay. (So I'm really glad I bought them all those packs 🙄)! They turned their attention instead to a game they could play with friends. 

I personally wouldn't use it, in fact I didn't like the Social Point aspect of Sims Freeplay and I didn't use that side. But the problem with the way they did it with Freeplay was that the game was much more challenging if you didn't socialise and there was a massive part of build mode that wasn't available to you unless you earned Social Points. So if it's added to the kind of main Sims game it would be fairer if solo players don't miss out on anything by not linking up with other players. I also play Animal Crossing and there is a part of that game that I'm missing out on because I play solo, it annoys me because I paid the same high game price as every other player so I wouldn't like to see the Sims 4 or 5 do something similar.

I think Sims 5 will have this option though actually. I just hope it's an option rather than a requirement. I know there will be players happy to see the feature.

Agree with @simsplayer818 I am not a fan of multiplayer, specially not from EA. They tried these thing in Mass Effect 3 and it was a hassle before the extend cut DLC to reach the good ending without multiplayer.

I am sure they will make the same move with sims only got item XXXX if you play with a friend. I don’t mind multiplayer as long it does not lock objects/scenarios behind multiplayer but is EA... they will lock items behind multiplayer.

If you are a pc player, sims 4 has a mod for multiplayer. You find it on modthesims "Sims4 Multiplayer"
