Sims 4 Suggestion: Update Neighborhood Stories

Are we not going to see any further updates to the neighborhood stories? Right now, NPCs still won't date or get married to each other unless you either play them and make it happen or you get bombarded by phone calls with them asking you for permission. Even then, they're just getting engaged, not married. So I'd like to see a neighborhood story option that allows NPCs to date and get married on their own so they stop bugging me with calls about it.

Along with that, there should be a divorce option.

  • @flauschtrudI don't have CurseForge but I do currently use MC Command Center since it makes the world feel a little more alive without me having to micromanage every part of it. There's maybe once in a while where I need to intervene or alter something but otherwise, I just let MCCC do it's thing. Still would be nice if there was an official feature with NS though. The fact that people can toggle whichever things they want active (or turn off NS all together) doesn't make it forced compared to how it was in Sims 3.

@daikoyuI mean if people are not taking the time to check their mods then that's a problem on their end. Sims 4 has a lot of problems, but sometimes it's a mod that's causing the worse issue because it's broken or outdated. If you're going to use mods in a game, then that comes with the territory. Check your mods before blaming it all on the game itself.

I’ve just started cheating in some skills for sims that join my family. At least young adult and up, and maybe some low skill levels for teens. No way do you get adult with zero skills in anything at all.

  • @shannon730  I'm guessing this is about townies not developing skills outside of whatever they already had preset? That is weird yeah but not sure how it could translate to a NS option, that feels like something that should just be a feature in the game itself, especially gaining skills related to their job.

Adding onto this in light of the new expansion being around the theme of love. Maybe an update to Neighborhood Stories as well? Get townies to date each other on their own instead of relying on me to hook them up.

  • i love your ideas, there's still stuff missing like getting married and divorced, maybe even dynamic option since we have one in growing together
it's too much work for me to start a drama with the family, especially siblings, maybe a "family conflict" neighborhood story should do the trick
maybe a flirting option should do their thing too, i hate when my sim gets the call just to ask if they should date someone or not
(same with friendships, the sim keeps asking my household for friendships if they should get to know one and another)

they sure should update the neighborhood stories and put some of them in basegame

    Exactly!
it's crazy that townies don’t even know each other and if I set up a group of friends they don’t even know each other. I would die for an update where maybe there are less townies but they really interact with each other, make friends and enemies, gain skills and promotions and also get married and divorce.
I hope that with the last update they will do that. That and all the big fixes would bring the game to another level.
