Sims constantly autonomously flirt with sims other than their partner?

I don't know if I'm the only one having this problem but it is frustrating me so bad. All of my sims constantly flirt autonomously when I'm not playing the household or directly controlling them, even sims that are dating/married! The "loyal" trait doesn't seem to prevent this at all either and only makes them twice as depressed about flirting with someone else. Most of my sims are bi but so far that has only resulted in any and all positive relationship automatically becoming romantic instead of being able to just make friends. This happens within households but  especially when the coupled sims show up to a party or public venue while I am playing a different household-- whenever I switch back to the other one I always find my soulmate couples jealous and depressed every single time.

I really hope this can be adjusted in a future update to make sims that are in a relationship much less likely to flirt with sims that aren't their partner, with the exception of sims with the noncommittal trait of course.

Or does anyone know a way I can fix this? I'd really rather not have to rely on extra mods besides mccc but it seems like my only option is to turn off autonomous flirting completely but that would prevent couples from autonomously flirting with each other.
