I’m sure I’m not the only one who would love a pack focused on small-time bands and local music scenes. A “Local Band” or “Small Musician” expansion could open up a whole new side of gameplay centered around punk, indie, pop, surf, emo, metal, and more.
Forming a Band
Players could:
- Ask another Sim to start a band
- Choose instruments, band name, and genre
- Recruit additional Sims
- Hold band practices
- Schedule gigs at local venues
Band Genres
A few basic genre options could include:
- Punk
- Indie
- Surf
- Emo
- Metal
Each genre could influence outfits, posters, venues, and even the crowd your Sims attract.
New World & Venues
This pack could introduce a new world built around a lively local music scene, featuring:
- Small, grimy dive bars with dirty stages
- Mid-sized venues
- More polished performance spaces
- Homes for house shows
- Unique neighborhood hangouts for musicians and fans
Performances & Gameplay
Gig performance could depend on:
- Your Sims’ needs before the show
- Their skill levels
- Band synergy from practice
Gigs could function like parties or events, with goals to reach for a successful show.
A dedicated Sim might even be able to “live off the hustle” instead of holding a traditional job — a fun challenge for players!
New Instruments
This pack could expand the music options with both solo and group practice:
- New acoustic guitars

- Keyboards & synthesizers
Practice sessions could include practicing alone or rehearsing together as a full band.
