Something disappointing about the new family trees

Something I found somewhat disappointing about the new family trees in game is the lack of editablility. Previously when families didn't have as much connectivity you could make the connections alot easier in game with cheats alone especially with deceased sims. Now given that most ghost now present in family trees are essentially "culled" its seems impossible to edit/add sims to a tree with it seeming like you'd have to create from scratch or wait for a mod that could help. For example with the Goth family tree although Mortimer is missing his paternal branch you could still add them simply because mortimer is alive and not a culled ghost. However with the Capps you couldn't (at least by in game methods) add Contessa's branch or the rest of her kids because she is essentially a culled ghost with a name alone and no data. I also know the culled version of sims in family trees is most likely to keep the file size from becoming too big so I'm not sure if there was a way around it.

Yes! This is vital! Please provide a way that we can at least hook our created sims into the new family trees so we're not so limited!
