Stop updating the game

Literally STOP. We put in HOURS to customize our gameplay with mods on top of mods & boom one half *** update wipes everything out. Like omg every single update comes with problems on top of problems. The game was just fine the way it was and updating every other month is pissing me off. Yall are making me want to quit the sims all together. I get 1-2 hours to myself everyday and I choose to play the sims. Now I'm just sitting here PISSED bc it took me days to make all this progress & yall are messing up ppls LPs. GET IT TOGETHER. How about not forcing us to update some of us are ok with playing without updating.

You can go offline on the app, and play the game, but this also makes the  gallery impossible to use. Either way us PC players get screwed every update. We either lose use of the main mods we use until they are updated, or are forced to not use gallery. I actually chose not to update this time because I saw this coming, and I believe it was planned. They can say it wasn't, but I don't believe it.

EA doesn't care about your gameplay issues.  They have a way to further monetize the game, they are corrupt, they don't care if they trash your free downloaded content if it means they get to force you to buy stuff from them.  I stopped buying - period.  Their newest packs have zero appeal in the best of situations and most of them contain stuff I wouldn't want if they gave it away.  Plus their forced gameplay with their events just shows that they don't care about their customers.  I realize they wanted ways to boost player engagement so they can make themselves more appealing to foreign business interests so they could get bought up.  Like the previous forced play events, the "Legacy" one has trashed all my game files, so I have to start over...again.  Oh, wait...I have inZoi...

RoseMillsap, on the PC, while I can turn off auto updates, it will say update required if you try to just open the game to play. It even does that if I attempt to open the game without the EA app launcher. Clicking the game icon on my computer only makes it attempt to log into the EA app first. So no, I actually can't play the game without updating. I already tried. I even took out my mods, but left my CC. As I predicted the new "marketplace" that they created broke something that allowed the CC to be in-game that I downloaded for FREE. My sim is completely naked for about half of her outfits. It replaced my sim's home is just a blank box because the entire home was made with Camper CC. Script mods always break, and I expect that. They usually warn us that if an update is expected to break CC. We were not given that warning, so I expected the clothing and furniture/build items would still work. I figured this update would make console users happy, but I will never support having to purchase in-game currency with real money just to buy items for my game. I don't do that for any games, so why start now?

  • In a way I feel your pain, but also the game is so broken that it needs updates. I play on console with no MODs so this isn't a huge issue for me. Theres so many bugs that annoy me so much and make the game hard to play sometimes. I want them to keep improving the game as well as adding free items and gameplay in updates. Also, can't you turn auto updates off and just wait a few days for the MODs to have been updated? I feel like players who use MODs are pretty used to this, I don't think you're supposed to open a save with broken mods/cc. So maybe it would help you to wait a few days to make sure nothing will break :)
